I have heard there is different ways to do it. Not sure if it it would be safe for everyone but I read something about sleep deprivation for a night and then using a bright light in the morning and sleep phase advances the next several days.

Wikipedia has a schedule such as the following but doesn't mention anything about bright lights, mostly sleep phase advances:

      • Day 1: sleep 04:00 to 12:00
      • Day 2: sleep 07:00 to 15:00
      • Day 3: sleep 10:00 to 18:00
      • Day 4: sleep 13:00 to 21:00
      • Day 5: sleep 16:00 to 00:00
      • Day 6: sleep 19:00 to 03:00
      • Day 7 to 13: sleep 22:00 to 06:00
      • Day 14 and thereafter: sleep 23:00 to 07:00
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronotherapy_(sleep_phase)

Anyone tried this? It seems like it would take a about week to get to close the final bed time using the Wikipedia plan and of course it would interfere with things. The other thing I am thinking is that if someone had tinnitus that was affected by sleep, could it be helped by this and maintaining sleep schedules after Day 14? Anyone have any experience here or alternative plans?

I found some more interesting info about chronotherapy: According to https://www.selfhacked.com/blog/chronotherapy/:

"Increasingly, chronotherapy also refers to administering medications in accordance with circadian rhythms to achieve optimal effects along with reducing unwanted side effects in the body (treatment scheduling)."

I am wondering if some people who have fluctuating tinnitus from one day to the next may find some of this information useful.

I also found an interesting article that gives an example of a medication that only works well when it is taken at the right time.

Perhaps there are medications and/or supplements that might need a similar timing effect for tinnitus. If you have any experiences, please share them.
