So I was at the office, obviously I wasn't wearing earplugs.

All of a sudden, the alarm that is very close to me made an awful sound for 1 or 2 seconds, it was very loud.

Haven't heard anything that loud since my onset.
      Let's say 120 or 110 dB? I don't know.

Obviously it was for a second or 2, but I freaked out and I even spilled my drink near to my computer and left very quickly, everyone around were like... wtf happened?

My tinnitus' is the same volume as always, its been 20 minutes since, but I'm freaking out, should I expect a worsening?

Has anyone had a similar experience?

I had an MRI on Saturday, I had full protection and didn't have any spikes or ear pain, I've been super careful :(

      Hi Mario,
I think you will be fine.
Try relax and stay calm as stress can spike it.
I know these loud out of know where sounds can give us a wobble especially when we have tinnitus already but you should be fine.
      Love glynis

      Thank you glynnis,
      im kinda scared :(
because it was very loud, its less likely to have an acustic trauma if my tinnitus comes from an endolymphatic nature?

      I know how you feel.
The school try do fire drills when I'm out of the building but does go off if children have done it by accident.
Have a lovely relaxing evening and hope tomorrow's a better day!
Mine are blasting away and it is hard going too!
      Take care,
      Love glynis

Same thing happened to me yesterday. My neighbourhood had a power outage. I learned the hard way that the fire alarm makes a loud beep when the power gets back on. Now I am feeling worse (as far as T is concerned) compared to how I felt yesterday...

Alarms can be pretty obnoxious; our smoke alarm went off when I was cooking a week ago, and my wife (who was standing right next to it) couldn't cover her own ears and the baby's, so she took the hit and had temporary tinnitus for ~a couple minutes. So, that's probably not great, but on the other hand it does need to be loud enough to be audible in all parts of the house. I think the best solution is probably to hang it someplace that it's not ever going to be right at someone's head level*, and possibly remembering to disable it entirely when doing stuff like cooking bacon.

      * obviously, especially including small children -- which probably means putting it up quite high -- though that then means it's hard to shut off....

I had that happen to me at work. I was in the lunchroom eating lunch and the fire alarm went off. I left the building with my hands over my ears. I probably looked like a crazy person, but some people just don't understand.

I was also walking beside a building and right as I walk under it one of those old bell and hammer alarms goes off just a couple feed over my head. I have the worst luck with these things...

I think you'll be okay. Even if you get a spike (which it doesn't sound like you have) it will probably be temporary.

You are not alone, to have bad luck when it comes to T.

I decided to carry my Peltor earmuffs everywhere I go, in cases a fire alarm goes off...

But still your T can worsen if you wear plugs... That is my experience.
Last year I walked like 20 metres from construction workers and my T permanently increased

Was it a jackhammer? You were wearing earplugs when you passed them?

Mario, No, you shouldn't expect a worsening. Even better, stop anticipating a worsening. These things can have a way of becoming self-fulfilling.

I don't recall what the machines was. But it was construction equipment on the street.
I wore custom made Alpine earplugs. And still I heard the sound sooooo loud

You will be fine dude. I live in NYC and just walking on the street might send blast of loud sound from FDNY_NYPD sirens. I just cover my ears same second and fine.
