Hello, I'm new to this site.

I have tinnitus for over an year now, no hearing loss, never listened to loud music, never even listened to music.

I'm only 16, what scared me is that how I will live with it when I'm older, I only have problems with it during night time, but I use a fan to help me fall asleep, but still.

I'm worried about my future, and how do I get over the jealousy, I get jealous really easily, I mean I know that other people have problems in their life too, but they don't have a sound in their 24/7, I don't know what to do.

You are very young. Don't stress yourself out about your tinnitus and being jealous. At your age you are still developing and your emotions are very raw and still developing. The future shall come, just know that you need to protect your ears. It can be done and it can be managed. Having a sound in our heads is pretty bad, but i can think of things that are much worst buddy. You are still developing and maturing as a young man, in time you will fully understand, what I am typing to you.

I could have typed the very same thing at your age and someone with almost 3 decades of experience could have been typing to me :)

You are lucky to have someone mentor and type to you and give you some answers. I had no answers and my tinnitus became much worst.....

I get it. Whenever people tell me about their problems I just think about how they have absolutely no idea what a true problem is like. This is a true problem.
