Is This Pulsatile Tinnitus?

Hello everyone,

If someone please give me some insight on this newly formed tinnitus noise of mine I would appreciate it.

I have tinnitus for about 3 years. In those three years my tinnitus has been so bad, has been okay , has been quiet. It has changed over and over to bad. Good. Great. Horrible. Unbearable . Okay. Goood. Not okay.

I have anxiety issues. I was totally fine. Until one night I thought I had a beeping noise in my left ear. I panicked a lot. Went for a walk came back and I was okay the next day. Long story over the last two weeks I have waken up in a panic at night with having beeping noises or roaring engine noises. Which disappear and reappear.

What is bothering me now is a beeping/ pulsing sound on the top of my head. It's not in my ear. It's not a whooshing sound. It sounds like someone is hammering something afar. I am trying to figure it if it's not pulstile tinnitus. I don't know if it beats with my heart. Sometimes I do think so but sometimes it sort of fades away when I plug my ear at for a while. It reappears with every day sounds it's a faint sound but I feel like I can feel and hear it all the time. I have become obsessed over it I don't know what to do (((

I hope it's not pulsating tinnitus. Because that's just a new form of habituation now. It's so saddening I literally can't sleep at night my heat beats faster and faster and beeping takes over my head as soon as I try to asleep. Masking doesn't work.

Any one can confirm this? Is this pulsatile tinnitus or just a anxious spike which will go away (((((((((( thank you

Many things can cause tinnitus and since you've had this for 3 years, you really should have been seen at ENT for tests a long time ago. The most common cause of tinnitus is exposure to loud noise. Typically, it is listening to music regularly through headphones at high volume and going to places such as clubs, concerts where loud music is played. If you do any of these things then loud noise could be the reason for the tinnitus.

Pulsatile tinnitus is usually diagnosed when a doctor places a stethoscope on the neck close to the ear. If a rhythmic heart beat is heard through the blood vessels of the neck, it is known as pulsatile tinnitus.

As I've said many things can cause this condition. At night try not to sleep in a quiet room. Place a sound machine by your bedside and set the volume slightly below your tinnitus. I actually didn't mention
I have been to three ents
All which said I have perfect hearing
I am in Canada so seeing a specialist is not an easy task. It's health care. So that means long waits to see specialist. More like months. And even MRI would take months to do. I am not complaining cuz it's free but then I don't get an answer right away.

It is not uncommon to have perfect hearing with tinnitus. Please read my article and get another referral to ENT for tests.

it's pusaltile tinnitus if it beats in tune to your heart beat . hold your pulse and see if it does. then you know.
