It Does Get Better!

Hello lovely people!

Just wanted to write a couple of positive words, had tinnitus since 2013, first year was awful but hang in there does get better. My tinnitus was very intrusive, could always hear it. Now it's barely there, barely audible. I can go whole week or month without actually realising I have it.

Allow yourself some time, be kind to yourself will be fine in the end.

Do you reckon you've habituated and got used to sound or is it actually lower in volume?

 

Duuuuude, thank you so much for coming back and updating us. This is HUGE for us newbies. I've heard this before, but not enough people come back to give positive updates, so thank you!

 

Both I suppose. After a while you stop carrying about it and just get on with your life. It's also nowhere near as intrusive as it once was, sounds more mellow. It does go up in volume when I get really stressed ( seems to be constant lately) but overall I don't hear or notice it.

 

You welcome. Don't bother researching cures or other magic potions they don't help. Give it time and this nightmare will pass!

 

In your first year, did you feel at times it had gotten worse?

 

Yes mate, goes up and down. It was either really bad or bad. 100% improvement now. Hang in there, always gets better!
