      Hi all!

I’m Eric, 21 years old and living in Amsterdam. I’ve had tinnitus for almost 2 years now, but I’ve recently realised that I have to do something about it to stop it from getting worse.

I was wondering how other people suffering from tinnitus cope with it and prevent it from becoming worse. Like I’m 21 so I’m going out a lot, do you guys use earpluggs or something like that?

      Thanks in advance!

      Hi @EricB96

Many things can cause tinnitus. The most common cause is exposure to loud noise. Typically it is headphones used for long periods or listened to at high levels. Or going to clubs or concerts regularly? If you do any of these two things I advise you to stop especially headphones. Don't use them. If I were you I'd get a referral to ENT for tests on your ears.
