      Introduction
It has been almost a year since I started writing this text but I haven't finished it then. Now I' m writing it again (because the draft is lost), the primary reason being that I think there are not many personal stories (especially successful ones) about LLLT, at least it was so year and a half ago when I started treatment.
I got tinnitus somewhere between spring and summer of 2015. (Maybe one day I will write short history about it because I think it is also a interesting one.) I found about laser therapy very soon after that but I was not ready to apply to one. One of the reasons must have been that my tinnitus was very mild at the beginning. Few months later (due to some events) my tinnitus got worse. At that time I started thinking about LLLT (low-laser-therapy) more serious but decided to consult with a specialist before it. In the summer of 2016 I made new tests. Results were good (I mean my hearing) but OAE showed that I had lower intensity of response "starting at 6 kHz and still present at 8 kHz". Doctor said that I could try LLLT but excepctedly did not want to guarantee any success.
So finally in the autumn of 2016 I started a LLLT at local private company. The company (which I don't want to name) is specialized in making hearing aids but they also make customed earplugs and few years ago they started a LLLT. It is important to mention that they use Konftec laser, model emLas-520 C.

      1st and 2nd treatment
The previous paragraph can be called introduction. Now I'm starting to write about the very protocol.
Treatment consisted of 10 sessions (5 per weak), each in duration of 20 minutes. At the end of the first weak I started to notice some changes in my tinnitus, mainly in its frequency which got higher. I remember that it scared me a lot. All of a sudden I was again deeply aware of my existential crisis caused by tinnitus. I was thinking about quitting the therapy but I convinced myself that, according to all texts I read, LLLT cannot make demage to your cochlea. I decided to continue the therapy in the next weak now hoping that my tinnitus just returns to previous condition but no other changes happened during the next five sessions and my tinnitus stayed the same with frequency little bit higher. I waited to see if there would be any changes after the treatment but I observed none. As a conclusion, I couldn't be happy with my first treatment.
Despite that few months later after I finished my winter exams I decided to try another treatment. I still had some hopes for success. The protocol remained the same. Only a few days into the treatment I noticed some changes and they were actually positive. My tinnitus got quieter. It started to resemble that very mild tinnitus I had in the summer of 2015. Now I was hungry to see have much more can it improve. I didn't notice any major changes during the rest of the treatment but what is most important my tinnitus got significantly diminished during that second treatment and it remained the same in the following months. I could finish my story hear as I would certainly do if I had written it a year ago as I planned but I want to give you account about what happened later because it wasn't my last LLLT.

      Aftermath
Few months later, encouraged by the results of the second tratment, I decided to continue with the LLLT hoping maybe to completely get rid of tinnitus. (Now I'm glad I haven't succeed in that.) But this time I decided to buy my own device. It would save me the money (in the long term) and the comfort of not having to travel to recieve the treatment. So I bought Konftec laser, the same model I was using in the first two treatments. (At the moment I'm writing this, my mind reminds me of some accidents that happened but I'm not going to write about it hear.) I think I made two more tratments with my personal device. There were some minor improvements I guess but the biggest improvement happened during that 2nd tratment. I still have tinnitus but it's not bothering me almost at all. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would say my tinnitus is at 1. (At its worst I would say it was at 4.) I even can read and learn without using the sounds to mask my tinnitus. I also had new OAE few months ago and results were better than the first time.

      Conclusion
Well it is quiet obvious that I cannot deliver some scientific conlusions based on my personal story. Still there are some abstract thesis I can make out of my own case in accordance to some texts I read about LLLT. First of all, LLLT is not a scam, it's a serious experimental method for curing tinnitus and perhaps some other symptoms. LLLT can deminish the tinnitus. Still it isn't a completely reliable method because it depends on many factors. It's certainly not a cure for tinnitus. In accordance with some scientific researches I would say that low laser light can help repair the demaged cochlea but it almost certainly cannot regenerate it. It's important to make difference between these two processes. Because I don't want to run any campaign here I will just say that, according to my own personal experience, LLLT may help young people with mild tinnitus. I hope my text will be of benefit to other members of this forum and people who read it.

      I’m happy for you.

Just once I’d like to read one of these stories where it’s not a first post though.
