      Hello!

Today I experienced a very unpleasant and unexpected incident.

I decided to go to the bathhouse before the new year.

When I washed, I could hear a very unpleasant loud knock in the bath, as if someone was loudly hammering an iron pipe with a hammer. I do not know where it came from. That sound was right inside the pipe.
And in the bath room, this sound was still amplified and reflected from the concrete walls. It was very loud and hurtful.

I even got sick, I almost fainted.

      The knock continued and continued.

Lord, now I'm worried. In my opinion I have a small ear fullness.

Tell me if I really need to be afraid?!

I've encountered unexpected loud noises in the past and I would get an immediate spike and in my experience the spike will drop after a week or two. so try and give it some time.

Wait until until tomorrow. Unless you have noticeable ear fullness or if you get a spike, you shouldn't worry.

Did you use your fingers to push on your tragus to protect your ears? It seems to provide as much noise reduction as earplugs or muffs.

I didn’t use my fingers, and it seems it wouldn't help much.

I was steaming and my muscles were in a relaxed state, so the stapedius reflex could not work properly.

This is the most severe impact of noise since the onset of tinnitus. I have to take sedatives, as I am very worried and reproached myself. This could finally break me.

Is your T louder? Are you experiencing ear fullness?

Tinnitus is louder and it's very scary. More than anything, I'm afraid of hyperacusis.

This is a huge psychological blow.

Fullness of the ears, it seems, I don't have. But there is a strange click in the ear when swallowing food. Home audiogram shows the same values.

In the morning I took prednisone (30 mg), although there is no evidence that it works in the case of acoustic trauma. I also take antioxidants - vitamin C, E. And benzodiazepines for calming down.

Lord, I just started to adapt and was able to work. And now I am again in a pit and horror. My holiday is ruined.

Hopefully it is louder because of the stress (so it will be back to your baseline soon), and not because of any physical damage.
