      Hi

I've made this simple tone that is successful in blocking out my tinnitus even at really low volume.
Might not work for everyone with a low hum but worth a try:

      How loud is your drone?
      Where do you hear it?

It engulfs my entire head. On some occasions, it seems to be located primarily in my right ear. The volume fluctuates, of course, but it's usually loud enough that I can't ignore it.

      Mine is the same.
Can you mask? Do you hear it next to the fridge for example or while watching tv?
Mine takes a hell of a noise to be partially covered!
It got so much worse for no reason.
Mine is 24/7 for nearly six years now, no breaks, it just wasn't as severe as now.
