For the past week, I've had a new sound - an extremely deep bass rumbling sound that I hear in response to other sounds. If I hear any "whoosh" kind of sound (fan, water running hard at the faucet, washing machine on, etc.) then I hear this super-deep bass rumbling, as though a motorcycle is idling outside, or a jet is flying overhead.

Last night the air conditioner was on when I went to bed, and the whoosing noise of that was setting off this deep bass sound. It actually seemed like I was even feeling the vibration of the deep sound. As an experiement, I put foam earplugs in, and the deep bass sound vanished. It also vanished when the air conditioner went off.

The deep bass sound was in a "whump whump whump" pattern, with a pause before starting up again. Any thoughts as to what this type of tinnitus is? Anyone else have this?

Idk but I've had this one too. It is the one that bothers me the most. Luckily, it comes and goes. When did you get your T? I've had mine for 3 months.

@Jkph75 Tinnitus started 6 months ago. I've racked up 6 different sounds since then.

Yes, and my hearing was normal. No hearing loss.

Me too. I don't see how that can be with all of these tones.

Do you hear your heart beating too? When this first started I thought it was a low tone. It has gotten louder and I can now hear that it is really the sound of my blood going by my ear since it is in time with my heart beating.

I don't think I'm hearing my heart beat...the "whoomp whoomp" sound I hear is not in sync with my heartbeat, and it's not a steady sound.
