Middle Ear Muscle Tenotomy? Sydney or Britain. Please Share Experiences.

      16th November 2017
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      injury to neck
      Hello.

      I have middle ear myoclonus and live between London and Sydney.

      Has anyone had a tenotomy of the tensor tympani and/or stapedius muscles in either city and can please mention the surgeon?

      I haven’t had the surgery but Gerald Brookes is a London based surgeon with the relevant expertise. If you Google his name together with ‘myoclonus’, you should find some links.

      In my case, low doses of rivotril combined with stress reduction eventually resolved the issue.
