Periodically, I Hear Music That Sounds Like It Was from Another Room

Hi all,

My name is Kristen. Periodically throughout my adult life, I've heard music that sounded like it was from another room.

Like an alarm clock radio in the next bedroom. There were times I would actually get up and look.
It occurs more now that I'm older.

Sometimes it's choir music, country music, pop music. It varies.

I have not been diagnosed with tinnitus, but my mom has Meniere's disease.

It's just recently started to bother me, especially since it sounds far off.

I hope I'm not alone in this. Anyone have suggestions?

 

Do you have hearing loss at all? This is something called Musical Ear Syndrome and isn’t all that rare, and actually pretty common for people with various hearing issues.
