It's been like this for a while now, getting louder and louder, when I block it off it goes 10X louder, never experienced this before and it's scaring me. My ear feels really blocked too. I'm scared.

I've had fleeting tinnitus but this isn't that. I've gone partly deaf and it's so loud I can't cope, it's come out of nowhere. :'( And now I have no girlfriend to calm me down ahhhh

You know how it works between the level of T and stress don't you? And we know that you've had a big stress recently. If your ears are stuck however go to see a doc!

Yeah, thank you! But this is different, it's a completely different tone and much much louder, before my hissing just got louder when stressed. My ear is literally so full up I can barely hear out of the left one.

Yeah, well, new stress, new tone. You really had only one so far? I've already experienced all teh tones , kinds and colours possible. Once more, if the ears are stuck, that may be some bonus to the T problem so better go and check it . Have you been crying? Sinuses may be stuck even if the nose isn't.

I've had 15Khz, a hissing a low tone, this is more like 8K but at 90db still. :( I don't know whether to wait until tomororw for the docotors and hope it gets better or go to a&e for emergency?

how do you know this tone is 8k at 90db ? its a spike man it happens itll subside in a couple of days if youre not common to getting spikes...it was probably all the stressing youve been having that caused it

      I recent I posted I needed some support.... https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/need-some-support-woke-up-this-morning.9605/

I also head the feeling I became deaf my whole ear felt full. I went jogging , took a shower....everything to keep my body in motion to open up anything that would block my ears. Got a massage in my neck which helped a lot. These things happen....at the onset of my T I also got it and scared me a lot.

Keep calm beceause anxiety at this moment will make it worse. You will be fine...I know it is a scare at the moment....

Post as much as you want if you want to talk m8 I'm online for while anyway so I check here often enough!

I compared it on youtube to the tone. Then I turned up the tone briefly to up to 90db which is where it matched.

I've had spikes but nothing like this, I feel like I have some kind of ear blockage.

your tone is not at 90db. dont match it its not accurate. because this is a real spike as in real volume increase. the full ear goes down..this happened to me two weeks ago..all the stress and talk youve been doing it is more likely causing this..unless you took something that caused it

You should go to the doctor. When I had a bad spike and was panicking that's what I did. And to my relief, the doc saw my ears were filled with fluid due to allergies. After a few days my symptoms got better.

If I'm stressed it sounds like a tea kettle, if my neck is stiff and in in pain it a little louder tea kettle and if im calm and relax it like a electric wire soft and barley there . . But my tea has always gone back to its original ringing thank you Jesus .

There is no such thing as 90db tinnitus.

@geg1992 if it was me I would go to the doctor soon to make sure it's not fluid or an infection.

If you're worried then see the Doc but in my experience the T is accompanied by the numb/ full feeling in the ear(s). I've eventually come round to believing (the ENT guy) that it's partly neck/tension related.

So if the massage works, go for it. Also suggest background noise/music to mask the T. It will either abate or your brain will adjust in time.
