My Pulsatile Tinnitus Is Louder and 24/7 Since Sinus Infection

Hi all,

I have had intermittent pulsatile tinnitus in the left ear and regular tinnitus in the right ear since December 2019. Last months it has been very easy to live with.

Two weeks ago I had a sinus infection. Terrible headache and pressure on the head and both ears. But I didn't have snot, only post nasal drip.

The second day of the infection my pulsatile tinnitus became louder and 24/7.

The right ear also got infected, and my regular tinnitus was spiking bit that has settled.

I have had these pulsatile tinnitus spikes before but they always subsided after a day.

The infection seems almost gone. Now I am very worried my pulsatile tinnitus won't go back to its baseline and stays like this...

Any reassurance I will be ok?

I hate to see posts with no responses. I know its been quite a while now, but I hope your tinnitus went back to normal.

I took some novo betahistine tablets with a similar problem, and the pulsing went away as the medicine drained my ears of fluid. I think it will go back to normal when it clears up, but it can take awhile with no medicine.
