I feel for you, I've been like that for 4 weeks now. Have you been to see your doctor?
He maybe able to give you something. The more stressed out I get the worse it is for me. The doctor gave me some diazepam and propranolol tablets to calm me down.
Also I've been taking some sleeping tablets which help. There's a lot of people on this forum like you who have got better so don't despair.
I've had my first ever camomile tea tonight which has helped me relax

Make sure you ask the doctor for a steroid treatment. Members here claim that the sooner you get this for a new T, the better chance it will fade.

I hear it also about steroids how affective is it i mean on onset? But would you have to go right away to a urgent care or hospital?

Welcome Cory. Yes, T seems to come out of no where for a lot of people. I never heard of a 7/24 intrusive T before until it hit me one night a few years back. For you sore throat, you may want to see an ENT specialist to checkout why it is sore. Like is there an infection? As for what you can do for new T, I can say you are doing the right thing by joining a T support forum like this. You may also want to read up this link where TT provides some advice & tips about living with T. It also has some masking sounds for you to start your masking.

Living with T, there are things you can't control, such as T and its unpredictability. But you can try to improve your response or reaction to T. I mentioned some of the things which help me recover from my ultra high pitch T and severe hyperacusis. For brevity, if you have the time, check it out.
