New to Tinnitus — Living in Delhi

Hi All,- I have had Tinnitus since March 2016. I have no idea what started it, no loud event. I suspect allergies and pollution. A ENT specialist thinks its linked to sleep apnea I have. It has be mild to date. But today the squealing is terrible. I thought it had gone yesterday since I hardly noticed it. But today its really back. Can anyone please advise how I can manage this. Sorry to hear that you have this awful thing. When I first got T I found that using a white noise machine helped a lot. If you have a smartphone there are tons of white noise apps. I set mine to a "rain" pattern and it completely drowned out the sound.

Regarding the cause of your T, did you take any medications like antibiotics prior to when it started? I've read that sometimes after finishing a round of antibiotics T problems can start for some people.

 

I do not recall being on antibiotics. I was on some medication for the allergies, nothing to heavy hitting as antibiotics. I will look into the white noise apps. Thank you.
