Oh No It Won't Go Away!

Hi I'm Stacey....I have had tinnitus since March this year but have just been to the hospital for a hearing test today and found out the tinnitus is probably a permanent fixture.

Would love to hear from anyone with more experience of this to help me come to terms with the shrill buzzing that is now my friend for life.

 

It will eventually fade to a lower volume in time... If you protect your ears.

I presume you meant that you've had an audio? What did it show? Did you want to post it here?

Did you want to expand a little further on how you ended up with tinnitus?

I myself, have had tinnitus, hyperacusis for about 5 years, and hearing loss (bilateral) for? lot longer than my tinnitus (probably noise induced)

I think the cause of my t is a combination of an ear infection/ciprofloxacillin.

Hi, I was reading your replies. My name is Doug, I've had tinnitus for nearly 3 weeks, it varies, can be disturbing but I am coping and hoping it will gradually fade. I notice anxiety makes it worse. Only in one ear.
