Old Time Dental Equipment Which Did Not Cause Tinnitus

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Intermittent Tinnitus probably noise induced
      Before the high speed drills which are loud and high pitched, the electric ones they used "rumbled", which probably did not cause hearing loss and tinnitus. The drill had a foot pedal, which was used by the dentist, to operate it.

      I should add that your teeth smoked when they were drilled by this type of device, and children were not given any anesthesia.

      I was on the tail end of those when I was a kid. Horrible torture.

      When I was growing up, Novocaine-type drugs were not given to children when drilling was necessary, and we all learned first hand what it was like to not have pain-free dental work. No crying, we just put up with it. How many adults under 50 today would be able to handle that, if this was the only choice?
