Hello, I have always had a really really minor tinnitus for 10 years but has always been/felt like nothing has been there.

I have recently got over a cold and my tinnitus has really picked up and always notice it.

I also have found out that if I bite my teeth together and tense my jaw it gets slightly louder and also increases in pitch.

I have a GP appointment in a week.

Does anyone know if this is being caused by something physical as I really hope it is.

Thank you for you time and effort.

Jack, I think it may be common to experience a change in pitch and loudness when you bite your teeth together. At least it happens with me. Sorry you're experiencing a change in your tinnitus. Hopefully it will return to what it was.
