For anyone else, does the sound of the TV being on or the radio make your tinnitus seem louder?

I don’t think it’s hyperacusis because it’s not the sound of what’s on the TV or on the radio that sound louder. It is my tinnitus that gets louder when I have these things on.

Am I the only one? And this seems to happen on days when it seems to be spiking. Because I will also have low days or periods when I can’t hear my tinnitus during the early part of the day no matter how much I’m “trying” to see if it’s there.

It is for me. I can hear it over everything, even the shower. It seems when there is noise, the tinnitus gets louder. I have hyperacusis as well.
