Hi!

I recently started taking Q10 100mg a day. It is claimed to prevent nerve damage among other things when having diabetes.

My tinnitus worsened shortly after taking them. But is that just coincidence or can Q10 have any effect on tinnitus after just a few pills.

Anyone else had any experience with Q10 and tinnitus?

I take CoQ10, I don't think it has any effect on tinnitus, good or bad.

Hi Axel, just want to ask if your tinnitus went back to the baseline after stopping Ubiquinol?
I am wondering the same. I also took CoQ10 for some time (more than a week) and my tinnitus spiked. I stopped it and I am wondering if these supplements might cause any kind of persistent worsening.

Coenzyme Q10 and its Therapeutic Effect on Tinnitus
Conclusion said:
The neural mechanisms of tinnitus are likely to be intricate and multifaceted. Tinnitus is a distressing symptom with various etiologies and a limited array of treatment options. The treatment of tinnitus is a major challenge for clinicians. CoQ10 is a major antioxidant that is naturally produced in the body. CoQ10 is helpful to reduce tinnitus disability, improves sleep disturbance due to tinnitus, and reduces tinnitus loudness. It improves the quality of life for those suffering from tinnitus. There is a need of more research in respect to CoQ10 and its impact of tinnitus.

I've taken CoQ10 for 3 months before and I swear it worsened my tinnitus.

I also took a supplement called SoundBytes that made my tinnitus worse. I've never had any supplements do a thing for me. Let me know if you find anything that's really effective.
