Reactive Tinnitus After Stress-Induced Spike

I got a stress induced spike last week in my left ear. The loudness has now gone down, but the reactivity has not.

In quiet rooms, it is not/barely audible, but when I use my sound machine, it goes up.

Is this hyperacusis related, or is it’s own class, and will notched white noise work on this?

 

If it just gets louder but doesn't cause you any physical discomfort or pain, then it sounds like reactive Tinnitus to me.

 

I have a similar case, did you get better?
