I keep acquiring new tones from (get this) NOTHING. Got a new one today in my original T ear from doing absolutely nothing but laying about.

Literally I did nothing. Ate my usual food. Didn't listen to music. Just laid about and did internet surfing.

      NOTHING.

      F*** my life guys.

This will be tone number 13.

You can't hear that many tones at once!

Not at once. If I plug one ear at a time I can pick out each tone in each ear. There are in fact 13 distinct noises.
I don't have it the worst. I know an almost completely deaf woman who has 25 noises.

I'm sorry, but your method doesn't really work. I've tried it, and my tinnitus is still as loud and annoying.

Really sorry to hear about the new tone. Got a new one myself yesterday and I worry about how many will have "collected" before first 12 months of T is through. Sometimes I think tones chnage or appear for no real reason. On the positive side, they tend to mask each other and so you dont get an orchestra of tones; just a handful of dominant ones. Thereagain, the new tone is the worst yet and is driving me crazy as I write. aaaaagggghhhh!
Hope your new tone disappears as it appeared.

Keep measuring your tinnitus like that and it will never go away.

My tinnitus is so loud I can hear it over the shower. On good days I can sorta kinda ignore it. Most days are not good or bad I just keep busy best I can and that helps.

I have multiple gong tones in both ears. Different pitches of tea kettle and broken tube tv, different pitched "Eeeee!" noises, nails on a chalkboard, the wind, and other noises that I can quite describe but they're really really weird.

@derpytia . Hi I agree keeping busy does help you not to focus on your tinnitus. I have just the one tone a screeching sound like train brakes on a railway line very hard to mask . I know you were in a dark place for some time but we all go through this . In the end we have to find our own ways of dealing with tinnitus. Anyway I wish you the very best and stay strong.
