Hi i recently made some of that juicy armstrongs mix with my dad and it was a pretty small amount too but like idiots we smashed the mix with a hammer and a loud bang came and i had hearing loss and ear ringing for the rest of the day.

It has gone about 4 days now scine it happend and the ringing is still there loud and clear idk what to do it makes school a hell of a place plz some support i dont want this to last.

How long can this kind of damage last?

BTW my dad lost all side effects after 2 days... im really worried

The ringing is only in my right ear though too

I'm just wondering what is "juicy armstrongs mix" ? I never heard of that before. Sounds like some kind of explosive. But you should get better soon. It was only for a short time, it's just going to take a few days. Stay away from loud sounds for awhile and let your ears heal.

Hang in there, and try and stay busy to keep your mind off of it.

      Good Luck

@Vilgot See a doctor and get on prednisone ASAP.

Prednisone can possibly help early after an acoustic trauma, but the window of opportunity for it to be any help is very short (days). It works on some people and not on others.

Vilgot, great to hear that things have improved. Now make sure you maintain awareness of the importance of protecting your ears - for the rest of your life. Learn from this experience. Stay the heck away from concerts, nightclubs, guns, explosives, etc. Don't give a tinkers damn about what your friends do or think. Peace, bro.

I doubt you are still following this, but has your hearing gotten better since then?

I had something similar happen about 5 days ago and I'm still hearing ringing in my left ear...
