I live in New Hampshire, and we just came out of a four-day heat wave with extremely high humidity. I noticed several times that there was not even a hint of hissing or tinnitus. As soon as the humidity dropped the next day, the constant light hissing returned.
This is the first time I've ever been able to recognize something that might actually help... at least for me. Has anyone else experienced this?
I looked online to see if this was a known phenomenon, but everything I read suggests that high humidity should make tinnitus worse. That wasn't the case for me. I'm just curious, because it was such a delightful surprise to have no tinnitus for several days, even though it was unbearably hot.
