Ringing in Ear After Putting in a Q-Tip

I've been having ringing in my ear for the past 2-3 weeks, after putting a Q-Tip in my ear. The past couple of days, my ear has been getting stopped up, and I can hear something that sounds like rain.

What do I do?

 

Have your ears checked by your doctor.
You might have over dried your ear inside and caused some inflamation and should settle down over time.
Try not to panic as stress will make the sound seem louder..

I can hear just fine, and I've been sleeping well. It's more of a minor annoyance than anything.

I think I might have found out what the rain sound was. I think it was because I was putting hydrogen peroxide in my ear every day.

 

My sisters friend T www only temporary ( 6 months) after putting a Q tip too far it! Good luck to you!

 

Do you think it's permanent?

I'll go to the doctor, just to make sure my eardrum isn't damaged.

 

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I was wondering what became of CastletonSnob. I did the exact same thing with a Q-Tip over two weeks ago and the ringing still hasn't stopped. I've already seen an urgent care doctor and an ENT. I'm out of antibiotics and ear drops and can't get a refill without seeing a doctor again. My next ENT appointment is two weeks from now -- specialists are in short supply.
