      Hello again.

I've been doing really well with my tinnitus, barely noticing it for the last weeks or so.

Watched Eurovision with a couple of friends yesterday, felt as if it was a bit tiring for the ears, but it wasn't to bad. However just now, a little while ago, a new tone set it, together with sudden deafness.

It's the worst tinnitus I think I've had. For every second that passes I get more and more stressed and worried. It shouldn't be a spike, should it? After more than 12 hours after the event, and I've spent the day in silence.

I hope that it passes, but it feels pretty rough right now.

Sudden deafness is a medical emergency. I suggest you seek assistance at your earliest convenience.

@GregCA it is? Even though it's a bit better now (the T is still loud)?

Had it myself last year ... within 24 hours I got prednisone from a GP and it went away very fast after that.

Glad to hear it went well for you, @RicoS. As a bit of an anxious person, the idea of taking prednisone isn't really something I'm looking forward to though. However, if I remember correctly it's a bit hard to get it here in Sweden, so gonna have to wait and see what they say.

You really should NOT wait, it's an emergency. You need steroids injected into your ear today.

Called the "healthcare advisor" (not really sure what to call it) that we have here in Sweden, who asked me about my symptoms and after I told her about them I was adviced to seek medical help tomorrow. It feels better now, anyway, with my hearing back to normal and the T has calmed down as well. Thank you for your answer.

Good for you. It's probably still a good idea to go in and do a Pure Tone Audiometry test to get a more objective view of your hearing.
