      Hi guys,

I have Alpine PartyPlugs that I really like. These are filtered earplugs that are transparent so they are a little more discrete.

      In the manual:

There is this bit that suggests that you can remove the filter, shorten the earplug (so it's a little less visible) and put the filter back in.

Question: Will shortening the earplug impact its noise-reduction capabilities?

I am not sure but have used them many times at gigs and have always been bemused when reading the instructions as to why you would want to cut them down. I would think that it will make them less effective yes, just leave rhem as they are.

true but i would just leave them in for full protection. You can email them, address on the website.
