      At the advice of my Psychiatrist I started a regimen of Citalopram just over 2 months ago.

      It toòk 2 weeks to kicķ in but last night I stopped.

      I couldn't take the side effects any longer.
      Diarrhea and nite sweats along with dizziness and tremors.

      Tòday I am feeling no tremors or dizziness and am wondering if anyone cares to comment.

      It did not affect my tinnitus at all so Im still ok that way.

      While I was on it my anxiety completely vanished. This was the only thing good that happened.

      Thanks

      No. Call your doctor. Don't suddenly stop your medication.

      These SSRI's are serious business. Definitely consult a professional. However I do support you stopping them.

      @David Dubros

      If you want to discontinue taking it, talk to your MD about a taper plan. Suddenly stopping these meds isn't a good idea.

      @David Dubros

      Is your dose the standard 20mg/day? Try reducing to 10mg/day, and you should talk to your doctor anyway.

      Best: consult your prescribing doctor
      Second best: start tapering down for a week at least
      Worst: stopping over night. Please inform yourself, there are are people reporting getting tinnitus after quitting their SSRI cold turkey...

      Thanks to all for your collective support and wisdom.
      I have started again at 10 mg instead of 20 and will consult with my Psychiatrist.
      Thank you

      I would definitely stay on them. A huge nuance with chronic pain and similar disorders like tinnitus is that stress is the largest contributor to it becoming chronic. If you can stop thee stress you stand a chance.
