Hi just to make my history clearer, this is from the introduce-forum:
Hi everyone, im from Sweden, i might suck on in writing english but i am desperate for some positive or calming reponses, so here I am, fresh new with My T and i guess i have to explain how i even got it, please DONT LAUGH, and please understand why i cant accept My T at this very point. I got it when my boyfriend kissed me on the right ear, at the beginning it was like a tinnitus-attack for 10 seconds, the t was very loud and i got dizzy. Then it was a low t. 5 hours later it disappeard and i felt such a relief. Later that night i went to a cinema with My friends. Came home, nothing in my ears. Next day i Did my hair with a dryer, and when i was Done, i had T. This is 9 days in and i FEEL so Alone, tired, scared.. Will this be forever? I went to see 2 doctors and they Said it Will go away but they cant say when (of course), my ears look good but i know i have a hearing loss in the same ear (10% i guess) but i have not got it confirmed yet. Im waiting for appoinment for it. Please im here because this forum seems so positive in some way. Like, come on, a hairdryer. And a kiss. Is this the end? I havent been sleeping welll at all.Best regards, Nadin. (Sorry for my "i")
      ------------------
Im so concerned, my T changed sound to a more softer sound, its not the "plates get smashed" anymore. Also my brain is playing with me, i swear it switched off the T for just one second. What does this mean??? Ive Been using nasonex which seems to lower my T. Even tho my T is noice induced, its seem be a question about pressure. So confused. Two weeks in

      ------------------

Lately, my tinnitus has become much lower. (Third week soon) I'm sitting right now in a completely quiet room, and I have to sit completely still to hear it, it sounds almost like a stationary computer loading, you know, the older ones. It started with a high-pitched sound, as described above, and made it almost impossible to sleep. Now I sleep ok, but not enough. I eat magnesium, B-complex and zinc. Is it possible that my tinnitus starts to heal completely? How big are the chances really? I would not call myself habituated because I cry almost non-stop because of it. Im not in the Accepting phase yet.

And also, two doctors said i had som fluid behind the eardrum, can this make tinnitus worse? Is it possible my ear got sensitive to loud noise because of it?

I'm not a doctor and can't diagnose you, but I would say count your blessings if you can only hear the tinnitus when you're sitting completely still and have to listen for it.

No one is going to laugh at you on this forum. It's rare but not unheard of for a kiss on the ear to cause tinnitus. Don't let him do it again. A hairdryer actually might have a high decibel rating that could, over time, damage your hearing and possibly lead to tinnitus. You'll need to check with the manufacturer of your hairdryer to find out.

I've heard of a kiss on the ear doing this before so you are not alone. Bits very like your T will go away or if it remains so quiet as it is now then why would you care? You won't notice it any more unless you listen for it. Don't panic and yes fluid in your ear can certainly cause T but if the doctor said there is fluid why did he/she not do anything for it?

Sorry, maybe it seems im spoiled because of the crying for mild T, but it has actually been very hard to copy, especially at night. Been sleeping 3 hours/night for the 5 last days. Maybe its because my mom its not in the country at this very point, and my boyfriend is on a vacation. Such a bad timing for THE accepting-phase when u are alone. My tinnitus is Also very central in the head. I can hear it watching TV sometimes. It feels like the TV make it worse sometimes.

@uae96 i do take magnesium citrate, b-complex and also some multivitamin-pills everyday, and have been using earplugs on the bus, loud streets, when i blowdry my hair. Also i do tend to skip junk food. I Really hope that the tinnitus becomes a bit lower, so i can have some improved sleep overall. Thank u again for the answers and excuse me for my bad english...

They call that the kiss of deaf. Anyway, once the fluid is drained the tinnitus should be quieter. As for getting rid of tinnitus forever, I'm not sure if you can say it will go away. You can apply for the AM-101 trial http://www.tinnitus-study.info/

And I would recommend asking for some steroids from an ENT, as that can possibly help reduce the volume if taken soon enough.

      Good luck
