Foods that definitely set off the tinnitus are inflammatory foods like pasta wheat bread any of those things that would cause inflammation with arthritis patients also sets off the tinnitus.

      neurosis, leaky guts
Here are things to prevent tinnitus in some patients:
      1. Sleep and rest more.
      2. Do not sit before a PC and using it for long hours.
      3. Do not play video games for 6 hours straight and over 10 hours a day. Even if it's video poker in a casino. Do not sit before a PC over 15 hours a day.
      4. Sit up straight most of the time, do not bends your belly and groin and half folding your intestines.
      5. Get up and go out there and walk 3km each day.
      6. See a doctor to check for leaky gut.
      7. Listen to music with headphone after having a full meal.
      8. See a doctor and book for a neurosis check up, or what ever that's a neuro cause.
      9. Stopping eating too much gluten based foods.
      10. Stop using game controllers and keyboard for over 3 hours per day.
      11. Do not masturdabate while sitting, do it standing up, do it quick, over and out! Do not masturbate over 18 times in a week.
      12. Change your mood by listening to easy going joyful songs and musics.
      13. Do not try sodomy if you gay or female.
      14. Eat a smaller meal each time.
      15. Do not eat too much baked or crunchy peanuts, both the chewing and having zinc ended up in your middle ears are bad! Salted peanuts are worst, as salt intaken could makes it worst.
      16. Check for testicle inflammations or other inflammations that lead to friendly cells getting killed by your immune system, it also attacks your ears.
      17. Do not try break any world record on anything or any subjects!

Yes happens almost all the time, I was sure my T comes from stress, but now I'm exploring the gut direction more, and found that using a certain type of probiotic calmed my T a little, and I definitely have more T after eating (1-2 hours) I wonder if it may be related to sugar or gut issues ... strange.

@hans01 I read once that right and left pterygoids which is attached to the jawbone neck and forms the TMJ joint to the bony plate of the sphenoid bone can increase sound after eating.

Thanks Greg, but in my case it happens with soft food as well and mostly 1-2 hours after eating the food in question, I also wonder if it's not the sugar/fructose, as this happened frequenctly after eating bananas, I had blood test and good blood sugar but never did a reactive blood sugar test. At the same time I have had gut issues almost whole my life, recently became better without eating potatoes (worst for my gut), few or no gluten (so no weat) and few or no milk products. So there must be a connection with sugar/milk or gluten as well, I read somewhere that actually Beethoven had serious T issues and it came from candida, not sure if that was indeed the case, but it seems that quite a lot of things are related to both brain and gut here.

this is my second bout of tinnitus in about 4 years, although this time it is far more acute and at times horrendously distracting to the point where i have found it hard to maintain a conversation.
I have been trying to work it out and i would have to agree that it is noticeably worse after eating a big meal.
This does tie in with my own stomach issues ive had over the years with a peptic ulcer, periodic sensitive stomach and possible hypoglycemia - (stress doesnt help either)..... i am in fairly good shape thanks to my work as a 46 year old tree surgeon but this bout has knocked my energy levels by 50% id say, which is not easy to deal with when trying to keep on top of work.
i think as has been suggested; im going to ask my GP to arrange a blood sugar curve test and look at foods like plain rice, vegetables and fish to see if i can bring a bit of neutrality to my gut.
I do generally know my body; its aches and pains and the causes there of and this does seem like an internal alarm bell saying that something isnt quite right and it needs attention - or maybe ive just spent too long up in the trees!;)

Still suffering with this damn noise but I have made some progress and I can tell people that there is definitely a gut relationship I have not done the sugar test or the blood curve test. last time I did sugar on a regular blood test it was fine. What I can tell you for sure is that if I have a large lunch no later than 4:00 I can have a small snack at 8 p.m. and I can wake up the next morning with almost no tinnitus. when I mean no T its on a scale of 1 to 10 it can be a one or two if I eat later let's say after 8 pm and sleep on a full stomach the next morning I will wake up with a crazy loud tinnitus on a scale of 8 or 9 something is definitely happening in the gut while I am sleeping so far nobody has been able to figure it out I do know that the body slows down when you are sleeping so the digestive process is slower that's why you shouldn't eat right before bedtime cuz you will gain a lot of weight yes there are some foods to stay away from that are inflammatory but that is only part of the problem because I had a full stomach full of vegetables before bedtime and it still rang the next morning a couple of snacks with small piece of chocolate and it was ringing like crazy the next morning because I ate late about 9 to 9:30 p.m. the problem is it usually takes about two days for the noise to go down after it goes up instantly overnight so I've had two or three days where you can say that tinnitus is gone during the week which gives me some solace and peace of mind I hope this helps I will try and find out more about what's going on in the gut but it's definitely related there's a trigger there if anybody would like they can email me directly. I'm sure there is a solution out there don't give up for the time being I take chamomile and l-theanine to calm my nerves as I prefer them over prescriptions.

Could be like the previous post that someone had hydrogen gases coming from their stomach because their sugar wasn't digesting properly. very good post by the way, it could very well be that the gas from your stomach wether be hydrogen or whatever it is is basically poisoning your brain it would make sense because any type of gas outside of oxygen and carbon dioxide that we normally use would cause nerve damage or nerve disruption. Basically any gas traveling up the intestinal tract is bad for you especially while you're laying down and sleeping
