Just looking for some help, guidance. I have tinnitus that came out of nowhere this May. I woke up one morning with the feeling of pressure in my right ear, and a very loud ringing.

Went straight to Doctors who put me on antibiotics for blocked tubes, but didn’t work. Got a steroid shot that seemed to help a little but nothing great. It seemed to decrease in volume and but got higher in pitch.

I went to a ENT specialist who did 4 steroid shots through the eardrum, he wasn’t worried anything was wrong, didn’t recommend an MRI, but shots didn’t really do anything.

It has become the this very high pitched noise that sometimes becomes almost a hiss.

It seems mostly in the right ear, but will dash across to the left ear and will often feel like it’s in the back of my head. It will go up and down with spikes all day, sometimes disappearing all together for short periods, but always back in the morning.

I had a hearing test that showed my hearing is good in both ears. It does seem worse when I’m worried about it or focusing on it. I do vape (for last 2 1/2 years) which I’ve read can cause issues. But it literally happened overnight. It does seem to drop away or maybe I just relax more when I drink alcohol.

Any tips suggestions or links would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
