Walk in nature. Observe how natural things move. Breathe the air in forests or by the sea. This always works for me. Complete concentration on a task is also good.

Take a bath and let the running faucet mask the T.

I'm new to T. I had some very dark days. There are a handful of people here who's stories got me through. I know it's not for everyone, but Valium (Diazepam) is in my cupboard if I get really bad. At the beginning, it saved me. And this is only a few weeks ago. Knowing it is there is reassuring. Just speak to your doctor about it. I find reiterating to myself that it will get better is also helpful. I also have made contact a hearing therapist who specialises in tinnitus who is only ever an email or phone call away. Build up a network of professionals around you to support you. Just knowing that things are being done is very reassuring. I also find driving in the car to help. Your focusing, you have different sights around you, you're senses are picking up different things. The main thing I've learned in the short time I've been here is that positivity is key. Know that you will not always be at your worst. Be positive that there are much better times ahead. Good luck and God bless your recovery!

Whenever I'm consumed by negative thoughts, I turn on a playlists of my favorite band. Then I focus a little less on the tinnitus and more on the songs. It helps me. Otherwise I would go somewhere it doesn't bother me as much like the library or gym or shower.

I'll tell you what I do:
      1) Think that it could be worse. My Tinnitus is very loud but my hearing is still ok. I was having a bad day and was out. I crossed paths with a girl noticeable younger than me, with hearing implants on both sides. So I tough "at least my hearing is ok".
      2) Push yourself, but not too hard. I'll try and try to focus, work, read, watch TV. Somedays though, the best thing is just to give up for a while. Get some comfort food, go for a walk, or just seat there. Again, it could be worse.
      3) Try to do something meaningful. On a bad day I try to do at least something that I consider meaningful in my life. I'll read some pages of a book, have dinner with my girlfriend and so on. This way, when I go to bed, I'll have something to be proud and grateful about.

      Hope it helps.

I usually try and watch something on TV to help take my mind off of things, especially if the weather is bad and going out isn't an option. Play video games or hang out with friends even if it's just hanging out at home. Good luck and we'll wishes to everyone.

I deal with bad days, really bad days and what gets me through it is hoping tomorrow will be better. And sometimes it is.

On bad days I try to focus on activities that give me more pleasure.
Jogging and playing with my 3y old toddler is on the top of the list.

Playing video games is also a good alternative.
