      Tinnitus Since:
      Oct 2017
      Cause of Tinnitus:
Ear damaged by a fall in my youth
I fell and damaged my ear when I was a kid. I lost the high frequencies in my left ear. (Prob about 2K and above).

Suddenly last year I woke up with my ear ringing off the hook. (Without seeing Ted Nugent the night before).

ENT did all the standard tests and initial treatments with no results. He told me that when the ear has total hearing loss it sometimes rings as a reaction. Is this true or BS? Anyone heard of it?

I guess I should add he said there was nothing that could be done. True? False?
