Post Your Favorite Anime/Cartoons

I tried watching it, but I felt that it was dripping with venom and saturated with propaganda.

Watched Miss Hokusai the other night which was a charming little movie, and then blasted through Kakegurui which was just okay, not amazing, especially when it comes to other gambling shows. The animation though was top notch and the girls were fun to watch.

Favorite anime would have to be the Rose of Versailles and Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

 

Every day I suffer once from tinnitus and then from remembering there is no Panty & Stocking season 2.

What is it with cartoons these days and using dead memes for a political agenda? I'm trying to like cartoons but damn it, this makes it hard.

I mean I wouln't care if the skit didn't suck. I thought hat one Gumball take on Trump was pretty funny (although it doesn't belong in a kids cartoon).

 

Adult Swim was never meant for kids, but it is supposed to be funny... that was just awful writing. Good god.

 

Legit. I've always wanted to watch that but I can't justify watching a 150 episode series these days, especially when I have so many other things I wanna do. But it looks so good.

I'm definitely going to be watching the Steins;Gate 0, Sword Art Online Alternative, and Megalo Box. Possibly will pick up a random CGDCT show too if I'm really bored. Any others I should keep my eye out for?

 

The main series is 110 episodes(? I think?) It's a commitment for sure but it's one of the most rewarding shows I've ever seen, and it ends just at the right time before overstaying its welcome. Honestly, it went so quickly for me as I often couldn't stop watching.

If you want to kind of run a trial of the series, you can watch the film "My Conquest Is The Sea Of Stars" first to see if it catches your interest.

 

I am but I always do. I'm also gonna try to catch up with some retro anime far before my time.

I know it's not Japanese, but Quanzhi Gaoshou is a pretty decent SAO alt.

I'll watch anything if it takes risks and is immersive. I thought the Castlevania Netflix show was superb even though it's made in good 'ol America. Definitely will take a look at this.

At this point I'm only watching SAO because I'm pot committed to watch it alongside a bunch of other friends.

I'm afraid to start it because I know I'll love it and I can only experience it once so it's important to me that I watch it at a time where I can truly take it all in. Space warfare is my favorite. Everyone I know who has seen it tells me it's one of the greatest pieces of media they've ever seen. The reviews for it on MAL are ridiculously high (#6 overall). I will absolutely watch it before I die, but after I'm financially independent and can justify watching 8-10 episodes a day of a show.

 

Don’t like anime but I love Bobs Burgers, South Park, family guy and saw one episode of Rick and Morty which was funny.

 

I've been curious about Rick and Morty. Finally caught back up on Family Guy and I've missed out on the last two seasons of South Park.

 

Spectating Richard and Mortimer is a phenomenal means of perquiring a higher statement of mental competence.

 

I’m about 3 seasons behind on South Park, the episode I watched of Rick and Morty was actually funny, was so out there but in a good way. I’m going to watch more.

 

Wouldn’t of put it exactly like that but yes.

 

I wish I could like anime more. I remember when I first got into it when I was in middle school thinking, "This is so adult and mature." After 15 years it's become more obvious that I am far outside of the demographic. There isn't a lot of anime material that tries to do anything different. Usually the same types of stories and the same types of characters and lots of supposedly not softcore porn.

Most adult Western animation, almost everything on adult swim, is just unbearable and not funny.

I suppose my intended demographic would be that of young/middle aged women, shows that typically involve a culture that I have no understanding of. These shows are typically very boring.

Basically, TV sucks except for those rare few shows that don't.
Video games and roleplay are the are the only types of fiction that are worth anything.

… I like Bojack Horseman.

 

I like Bob's Burgers too.

 

Maybe I'll check that one out.

 

Love Bobs burgers it just makes me laugh especially Tina and Linda, they are crazy....

It’s crazy and totally random but I think it’s well written and makes me laugh a lot especially Linda and Tina.

Yeah, I'm happy for all the recommendations. Linda and Tina have fast become my faves. The clever musical numbers don't hurt either!

 

Definitely, makes me laugh so hard sometimes.... especially Linda with her random singing out of nowhere.
