What Are Some Things That Distract Your Tinnitus?

      Perhaps stress
      Aside from tinnitus masking sounds, I wonder what activities helps you distract or relieve your tinnitus...

      For me, I found out arithmetic helps me distract my tinnitus.

      @Bleep , Great question. I look forward to reading the answers of others on this forum.

      Any mental activity can make it less noticeable (it is always there in the background). I will do math (well, converting data to and from base64 in my head) if I can afford that level of concentration, otherwise I listen to music.

      Acoustic trauma
      - Listening to music.
      - chess
      - skiing.
      - hiking (I live in the mountains).
      - Watching a TV show I like or a movie.
      - Going to the gym.

      Watching TV shows, movies, or YouTube clips can do the job if what I am watching is interesting enough.
