What Should I Ask the ENT When I'm There?

Hello I was wondering what questions I should ask him and what I should tell him.

Whst caused your T?Just need to know that before I can give you an accurate answer.

 

Sorry for not saying. I have noise induced T.

 

I would request a high frequency audiogram (he will refer you to an audiologist), get him to look into your ears to look for wax or any other issues, and ask him what medications he has tried with other patients that have T. Tell him your medical history or any problems you've had also related to sinus, ears throat etc or any underlying medical conditions. He may suggest you get an MRI to rule out other issues as well - don't fret and wear ear plugs when you get it done

And lastly, don't let him get you down and destroy your hope.

 

Definitely not. They tend to which is horrible.

Hey just wanted to say what you have written is a wonder and the experience you have shared is immense in numbers and quality. I think the moral of your article is to simply act as if it doesnt exist so you can let it be.

Thanks for your kind words about my article. I hope that you have read it in full and not just "skimmed" through it as another Tinntius Talk member told me. Although you are right in sense. I wanted to convey to the reader that although tinnitus can be quite severe it doesn't mean a person's life is over. It may take some time to get back to where a person once was. With treatment and looking at the positive things in one's life, instead of focusing just on the negative. Life becomes easier over time.....

I have read the introduction but the treatments not so well. Im not sure what to do yet thats why, and filling my head with treatments isnt good. Because I heard someone became better when he stopped trying to treat it (treating it with ignoring it i suppose lol)
