What Sounds Can You No Longer Stand? For Me, the Aluminum Foil Is the Devil Incarnate

For me, the use of aluminum foil to wrap or unwrap my food is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

What sounds can you simply not stand, now that you've developed tinnitus?

 

Crisp packets, cutlery, plastic bags amongst other things. What a royal pain in the arse this condition is!

My wife's voice when it gets loud. By then I'm out to the shop 12 pack of beer sharpening things.

 

A high pitched tea kettle
High pitched static on the radio
A dentist's drill
A fire engine / ambulance siren

 

I've recently developed low pitched tinnitus that fluctuates rapidly like the inflection of a voice in the next room...Safe to say, I now find murmuring, whispering, and low pitched radio/TV indistinct sounds very perturbing.

Grocery checkout beeps.
Shopping carts banging together.

 

Leaf blowers and weed wackers.

 

High-pitched, shrill voices, beeps and loud male voices.
