Where Do I Start? What My Specific Conditions Are? Possible Treatments?

My tinnitus became more of a problem about 20 years ago, but on reflection, I think I've always had it to some degree.

My hearing loss became a problem 8 or so years ago and is getting much worse the past 2-3 years, plus have noticed H during that time.

I live in a small town with an audiologist. She can run a standard sound booth test and sell me the brand hearing aid (behind the ear) she carries. As my father says "When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail".

How can I find out more detail on what my specific conditions are and possible treatment?

I would suggest looking at some of the posts written by @Michael Leigh. He has many that offer a wealth of informant on tinnitus, possible treatments, habituation, and coping strategies. I would suggest the following, then search posts created by him for more that have subjects that you believe may help.
