Hi all, In trying to have the cause of my tinnitus diagnosed the only real treatment that I have been offered so far is to correct a deviated septum. I do have a badly blocked nose all the time which the ENT says can cause me to grind my teeth (which I do badly) and as a result I feel like I carry a lot of tension in my jaw. I have also read that teeth grinding can cause TMJ of which of course tinnitus is a symptom. So: Deviated septum > bruxism > TMJ > tinnitus. Does this sound plausible? If this is about right then logic would dictate that there is little use treating anything until I resolve the root cause which is the nasal issues. I've been giving some thought to seeing a neuromuscular dentist as it will be quite some wait until I can get in for nasal surgery, but don't want to spend the money if it will be for no benefit.
