Haven't checked in for awhile. I'm doing ok. Better than I was. Black sead oil from Walmart. 2-3 tsp a day. Spring valley brand.
I highly recommend ambience sound app. It has rocks stacked as it's picture. I have pretty bad H and could find many different sounds
That's the only one I use. You can combine so many sounds, and adjust the volume. I bought it to avoid ads (it's cheap!) I even added some self-recorded sounds that I mixed with some of the app sounds. It's the best sound generator app that is out there.
Anybody get pulsing in their ears when bending over or raising hands above your head? Try to figure out if it's the muff applying pressure
Ooh a Wild fan also here. Gosh I wish my Wings were still in the Western conference (dominating it as always). I better hope no Avs fans here... Anyway, GL tomorrow night, Kings at Wings
You could try some headphones that have good noise cancelling features. I'm not sure how good they are though but for sure comfy
Yes @SmallRonnie I have X5 Peltor for home as they are too bulky. Then I got a pair of noise cancelling headphones which are meant to be for music obviously, but I wear them everywhere and they cancel out lots of noise.
Anybody get head pain. Example if you drop a spoon on the floor while wearing muffs? Doesn't hurt the ears but the center of my brain
A lot of my delayed pain from H centers around my head. Goes from a dull ache in the ear towards the jaw and the head. When it's bad I can get nauseous from it.
Hi Rockman, Did you ever figure out an idea that works safely for taping padding for ear muffs to minimize the impact into walls and hard things coming quickly at them? Warm regards, -Tyler
I never did. I'm just way more cautious about moving around things. The peltot x5a. Doesn't cause near the loud bangs when bumped into things
Ears started popping and a feeling of them opening up. Like unclogging. I only listened for about 5 mins. It's called Beltone tinnitus app
I use to listen to babbling Brook sounds every night while sleeping. Had to stop. But tonight just sitting here I mixed Brook with crickets.
Bathroom fan is the worst for me. I can across the house with the door closed and it still drives my ear crazy . Problem is it doesn't stop
Fellow reactive t people. Sounds drive it crazy but you know aren't harmful. Do you listen to it or run for the hills?
A bit of both. But mostly just listening to it. There’s no way I can run away from sounds that trigger reactivity where I live. I Deal with it and hope it stops sometime in the future
Agree with what @ZFire said. Unless your LDL is so low, and you get physical pain of sounds like fans and such, there is no point in covering up imo. It will only make you more sensitive. With time it tends to get better.
Maybe I'm just weird. But certain sounds hurt my ears, one or both. Than some sounds seem to attack the middle ear, hurts the brain. Oofda
Anybody on here use Widex zen without amplication. If you phone were to ring would it go through the sound generators?
If you check the bottom of each post there's a number with a # sign next to it. Hover the mouse over that and it should say 'permalink'. I think that's it.
