How do you tolerate white noise if you have severe hyperacusis? TT doesn't have a particularly active H community. I go off site for H support. Most H sufferers get relief from silence even if that isn't a long term solution. Personally, disagree that drowning everything in white noise is the way to go.
If I never turned off my white noise a few weeks ago, I would have never recovered from reactive T and made progress with H. My T would have stayed unmaskable and not have gone to whisper soft.
H is like all other nerve injuries from what I've seen. You can rebuild tolerances slowly and carefully. But blasting white noise always is like asking someone with a back injury to help you carry all your furniture in when you move.
