    It seems like you have reactive tinnitus. In this case, you have to avoid loud envirements as much as possible. Luckily my tinnitus is non- reactive. It is normal to feel hopeless at the beginning, Try to ride out first 6 months, after that it will most probably start to fade. Or who knows, you may recover even before that. I wish you so.

    The h goes away for most but it takes time. Mine got worse before it started to get better.

    @Chester What do you mean by reactive tinnitus? Is this what I have? I always get a spike the day AFTER I listen to music on low volume.

    @HeavyMantra It is what you have. If your tinnitus reacts to the sound and certain kind of food and drinks, that is reactive tinnitus. Better stop listening to music if it spikes your tinnitus as it wll be bad in the long run. Your ears need rest. For some people, nothing spikes their tinnitus, and I am lucky to be one of them. Hope you get better soon.

    Never reacts to anything but music. And always the day after. I get the same spikes without music, but I always get them the day after music. I just don't know why music spikes it, I expose myself to way louder sounds without problems.
