I managed my first book a month ago. I actually forgot about the T whilst reading it. If I can hear it though, I just use a soft fan background noise to help. I feel like getting through a book when you have T is a real breakthrough in being able to manage it. What do you like to read? :)

That's great! What book did you read :) I agree completely, I'm just still at that stage where the thought of reading and hearing my T gives me anxiety. I also first developed H whilst reading (the sound of turning the page caused me discomfort), so I have this connection between the two which makes my anxiety about reading even worse. Crazy right!

I love to read everything - politics, history, economics, fiction (big fantasy and sci-fi nerd), etc. What about you?? x

Oh sorry! I didn't even see you replied :-/ What did I read - 'Boom Cities, Architect-Planners and the Politics of Radical Urban Renewal in 1960s Britain' hahaha God that sounds boring! I read a lot of non-fiction because I enjoy learning. I also read a lot of mythology which obviously ties into history, which I love.

I've read all the classics like Lord of the Rings, Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies etc. Some cheesy sci-fi books like Slugs
Stuff by Irvine Welsh who wrote Trainspotting. Tbh I read whatever I fancy or see at the time. I've just finished reading Mythos, Heroes, and I'm about to start on Troy. And I'm also reading 'Modernism in Metro-Land.' So yeah, a really mixed bag.

Shame about reading giving you anxiety. :( but I understand why. If your H developed the last time you read, then it's bound to make you build a bad connection between the two. I have a similar thing about it being spring time. My T started in April last year, and when I think of it nearly being that time of year again, then that gives me major anxiety.

That sounds fascinating :O Coincidentally I was thinking about buying lord of the rings to get me started reading again (I've seen the films a thousand times - love em). Have you seen Trainspotting 2 btw?

I'm very similar - pretty much only read non-fiction over the past few years because I enjoy learning so much (also because of uni).

I'm sure we'll get over these anxieties soon enough :)
