That's great to hear! Glad you're getting some relief from this :) Mine was a little worse this morning, but it's quieter now, thankfully! If it's the amoxicillin working that quickly...I will be a very happy camper in no time lol
Try not to worry too much about it! Your ear infection is probably causing it to fluctuate. My tinnitus is still faint but my emotions have been all over the place this evening. I'm really anxious, lol.
Happy to hear it's so quiet! I know how hard it can be to control your emotions over this. I was a mess in December and January and have been slowly doing better. If ear wax is your culprit, then having it removed Wednesday should be the fix (even if it does take a few days/weeks to full subside)!
Also, I think I mentioned them before, but the band Switchfoot has really been helping me through this time, and this song seems to fit our predicament pretty well. We're gonna be alright! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-_cac7fs7w
Yeah, one of the biggest reliefs about this whole situation has been that the volume is on a steady decline since onset. I'm truly hoping the wax is the culprit so I can put this behind me for good!
There were many times where my sleep was trash. Falling asleep, waking up and being unable to sleep...just...trash. I was already listening to rain sounds before this, so that kept me in routine. I did try melatonin, which somewhat helped. I also downloaded the Calm app and listened to one or two of the free stories on there, and that helped! Never made it to the end of a story.
Last night was not great as I did have anxiety over learning I have a double ear infection, but I think tonight will be better. I've also taken acetaminophen PM or benadryl at times which helps. Sudafed and Aleve PM spiked the noise for me. Overall, it's been trending in the right direction of being easier to sleep. Do you do any masking noises/sleep aids?
I don't use any masking noises or sleep aids! I've luckily been able to sleep in total silence just fine since all of this started. Though I am considering using a fan for when I'm a bit more anxious.
