The first study had three participants report improvement in tinnitus. It's mentioned in the patent but not in the trial results because it was not officially part of the study.

so even people who don't have hearing loss think they can benefit from this drug?
It is true that everyone has hearing loss even if it is of high frequencies, but from what I read the FX-322 did not have good results at high frequencies.
We need more studies on tinnitus, there has to be a difference between me who has tinnitus and has good hearing and my grandfather who has no tinnitus and is practically deaf. There has to be something you can do that just shut up this noise
If you have a few random dead spots in your EHFs, you wouldn't hear that anything was missing, but your auditory system could still create ringing as a result. So great-sounding hearing doesn't mean there's no loss. I agree though that all sides of the problem need to be addressed; hair cell loss is only one factor.
@Keith Handy I was glad that there was a pill to stop the noise for at least 9 hours to sleep :) that says a pill says a device! :D
sometimes I think that I am still dreaming and that this noise is not real!
