@Foamearplugssuck I'm sorry to hear that. Is it pain or loudness hyperacusis? Wont hearing protection suffice when hanging out, provided it doesn't involve anything very loud? I have bad loudness hyperacusis, but would have much more freedom if my tinnitus just didn't spike.

Your friends don’t know how lucky they are. That’s the up-side to getting this, normal life will feel like a blessing once you get it back

@Stacken77 it's pain hyperacusis. and they were meeting at panera, which is a pretty loud environment. my hyperacusis is recent so I'm trying to take it really easy on my ears to let them recover as much as possible.
