Noise-canceling headphones put out a signal to combat external sound to make it seem quiet, so you're still getting some noise in your ears. Probably safest to use ear muffs instead of plugs, considering pressure changes.
@Brittany95 same! I fly from England to Italy next Saturday. I’m pretty nervous about it. My dad was very kind and booked us seats near the front because they’re quieter apparently.
@ALS Crap, I was hoping to not have to wear earmuffs for a 3.5 hour flight. I'll definitely be bringing mine then! And my ears have had problems pre-T with planes where it would hurt and stuff as we were ascending and descending, so thank you for the warning on ear plugs :)
@Steph1710 omg, lucky!! I want to go to Italy (and England lol) so bad! Where are you going while you're there? And I hope it's a good flight for you! That's nice of your dad to do that. I'll try and get seats towards the front too (we have open seating on our airline)
