@Vassili Hey,, how's your Tinnitus ? Just wanted to ask one thing : did you have this strange "empty, numb ear" sensation, where some soundsgot straight inside your ears, where you actually could feel them, while also make these "hzzzt" distortions ? Do you think it's ought to get better ? also the my sitting position plays a major role in "manifesting" these distortions too
Hi @Farida. The good news is this broken speaker thing actually went away it only happens with artificial audio maybe once a week. I think time cured it but I was also on a muscle relaxer for it. I have this squeak distortion still but the broken speaker is no longer an issue. Hope the same happens to you
@SD7 it's actually unilateral now, but sometimes it switches ears I think, but my sensitive ear feel idk how to descrive it "empty and numb" and I can actually feel it, I experience movements, fluttering too so that's why I think it's TTTs
Hi, @Farida! My tinnitus is livable after two years. Yes, I had this sensation and still have it at some point. In my case lots of things got much better including distortions. Positions of my body do not play any role. T is always the same.
Hi @Farida I think your assessment is right. This is all theory but part of the role the tensor tympani plays is to dampen sound. When that broken sensation happened it really felt like something was rumbling in my ear. I think the sound tolerance has been lowered for when that muscle is supposed to function.
Good news is anecdotally if you feel something move it seems those cases tend to somewhat alleviate if not disappear all together as time passes. There is a irreversible surgery that is hit or miss than you can do as last resort if it's truly hampering your quality of life.
