Its been about a month since I had acoustic trauma that worsened my condition to a horrible horrible state.

So worried its too late to help me at all.

I just saw this posting. There's virtually no risk. Only a miniscule risk of the hole not closing, which can be repaired anyway if that happens. You should absolutely do whatever you can to get a few injections. I've had it help as far as 3 months since onset so it's definitely worth getting it done. I'm praying for you Travis.

do you have a history of sound damage?

No, just ototoxic damage. Sound damage has a better chance of recovery I think.
